Angie + Lisa | Latourell Falls


Some love stories find each other in the most unexpected ways. Angie and Lisa first connected over a Facebook post about a turtle, their paths crossing occasionally over the years, and then on New Year’s Eve 2023, Lisa reached out- and they’ve been inseparable ever since.

I photographed their engagement session at Latourell Falls in the Columbia Gorge, Oregon. When I asked them where they wanted to do their photos-nature, waterfall, or city-they immediately chose waterfalls! A few months earlier, Angie had proposed at a waterfall camping trip, making this the perfect location to celebrate their love.

As the water crashed behind them, spraying them with a cool mist, I called out directions for hands, heads, and turns. While those posed shots turned out beautifully, the candid moments-dancing, laughing, and just being together-were just as magical.

Angie said it best:

"I’m so glad we were able to get these photos done; they capture in tangible form the love we have for each other. When I look at them I see the way Lisa looks at me, and the way I smile when around her, and I’m overwhelmed with excitement that in just several days I’ll get to call this woman my wife."

Bryan and I cannot wait to celebrate their wedding day this weekend-it’s going to be filled with love, laughter, and all the moments that make their story so beautifully theirs. 🌿💍✨
