Hello, we are Bryan & Ashley

Husband & wife storytelling Duo of Alacrity

Group standing outside Too Many Records store with someone on rollerskates.

We blend 35mm film and digital to capture honest, artful moments- at home, in the forest, or along the Oregon coast. Whether it’s wild joy or quiet connection, we focus on the beauty of real life, just as it is.

This is where your story begins, with heart, with intention, & with you.

How we began...

Some love stories start in a coffee shop or on a blind date- ours began in a camera store. In 2007, fate (and our shared passion for photography) brought us together. One year later, we turned that passion into a business. The year after that, we turned our partnership into a marriage (Long story shortened).

After capturing countless love stories and milestones in Wisconsin, we packed up our cameras and followed our hearts to Portland. Not long after settling in, life gave us the most incredible gift- parenthood! Our two little adventurers, Scout and Raven, keep us on our toes. Whether we're searching for the perfect rock, peering into tide pools, digging through vinyl record crates, hunting for thrifted treasures, or hosting family dance parties, our world is full of wonder and discovery.

Why Photography?

Memories are sparked by so many things- a song, a scent, a familiar touch- but nothing preserves a moment quite like a photograph. A single image can transport you back in time, reliving the emotions, the laughter, and the love as if it were yesterday.

We believe photos are meant to be printed, displayed, and cherished. They’re more than just pixels on a screen; they’re heirlooms that hold space for our loved ones, both present and past. Long after the moment has passed, a printed photograph remains- a tangible reminder of the love, the joy, and the story behind it.

“Childhood lives in the quiet moments...

barefoot in the grass, dreaming beneath the sky.

Film remembers what the heart almost forgets.”
